Why do you like Uchiha Sasuke?

Oh hey, since you've been here awhile, i've got a question. ^^; Like a bad little noob I didn't read the FC rules, haha, and have applied for... I think six... three of them which are unofficial, so there's a chance they might not make it... am I gonna get in trouble? o.O I'm new to forums in general, and this might be nothing, but I'm paranoid.

First Topic - Why do you like Uchiha Sasuke?

There are so many reasons really. Sasuke's character is complicated. I like that. He has a very interesting past - another thing that I like. I also love his relationships with the other characters and how they perceive him - and then how he perceives himself - and how it contrasts so strongly. I like that he's got both a superiority complex and inferiority one. How he can be so cold and then surprise you with something like cheering Sakura up or giving his food first to Naruto.

And how freaking adorable he was when he was a kid. ::huggles chibi-sasuke:: Also how he makes me feel like a pedophile. o.O Hahaha. XD

I also think Sasuke's battles are especially cool to watch. Taijutsu is awesome and he uses it a lot, as well as cool fire attacks and that especially awesome string (i just love watching him use that), and chidori looks really neat (thank you Kakashi!) And I happen to like his level 2 curse seal. ^^

He's very fun to indulge in if you like writing or reading fan fiction. ^^ A bonus

As for the FC thing... just edit your post or say nvm to one of the FCs.
Before the entire remaking of all the FCs, I was in about 23 FCs... when the limit was 3. No one really did anything about it. But now that Tom's sorta buckling down a bit, I'd withdraw from an FC for now, to be on the safe side. ^^

Right now the manga is focusing on Naruto, new techniques, Sai, Kyuubi, and Akatsuki in general.
Even though it's a fight between Naruto and Orochimaru right now; the story isn't exactly circling around him or Sasuke right now. Naruto still wants to get Sasuke back, but we won't be seeing him for a while.

I like SasuSaku as well; but I'm a yaoi fangirl so I also like SasuNaru.
Not really NaruSasu too much... Since Sasuke as uke doesn't appeal to me as much as Naruto being "uke". ^^

I am in the process of creating a new charactor that I think will be a good match for Sasuke. Maybe one day I will put it in a fanfic.

For the existing charactors, SasuSaku will go pretty well. It seems like Sakura's love for Sasuke is more mature now. She was willing to risk her life to protect Sasuke, say before the sound nins and Gaara, especially before Gaara. And Sasuke in a few occassions actually showed caring for Sakura, specially in battle. But, Sasuke's caring is more friendship like.

Sasuke and Hinata would be interesting. They both have prestige blood line. Following the storyline, it is not likely to happen.

Sakura because she is devoted to him, willing to understand, and she has kept her feelings strong even after being apart for three years. Also, her training is based around saving him. Her whole development in the show is based around Sasuke. Why would Kishimoto do that? Hmmm... maybe, just maybe, there is a reason... ^^

She started off like all the others. But she grew, her feelings grew, they developed, and now they are very strong and true. She loves Sasuke and is willing to give her life to save him. She was even willing to leave Konoha and HELP him with his revenge. That's love people... being willing to plunge into anything as long as you can stay by their side... passionate and perhaps a bit foolish, but so very true and strong...

And then with Sasuke, despite being cold, he did talk to Sakura on a number of occasions. And when he said he didn't remember their first real talk (when he called her annoying) and all the good times, he turns around and says moments later 'you REALLY ARE annoying' which hints that he remembered EVERYTHING. And during the Chuunin exam, whenever Sakura was worried about Sasuke, he told her that he wouldn't allow EVEN her to interfer with his destiny... (that was what my fan-sub said anyway) and for me, that means something. Also, he told Naruto to save Sakura no matter what in the fight against Gaara. And when he layed her down (after catching her during the Gaara battle) something about it seemed really soft and he stared at her face for a moment. And he thanked her before he left. He thanked her for her love and concern, imo.

He definitely cares about her. Only as a friend for the moment, but they're also kids. So I can certainly see them together in the future. They have a very strong bond and base for a relationship. And also, Sasuke is not looking for a relationship like that, so he would not respond in kind to her.

I personally think that Sakura and Naruto will bring Sasuke back. Her strong love is what he'll need to heal and also her outlook on life is different than his and she has not been tainted by loss like him. This will help when Sasuke can't see the good and Sakura can. ^^

Also, on a physical note, they look perfect together. Hehe. Their colors complement each other (blue and pink, red and black) and anyone else notice that Sakura's outfit has the same colors of the Uchiha clan symbol? LOL.

And the ending theme Parade (for these fillers) is so Sasu/Saku its not even funny! There's a piccy of Sasuke on the wall when she wakes up and it says on that poster "Live a life of Love"...

I don't really like any yaoi couples for Sasuke that much. I think him and Naruto can't work because of their rivarly (I feel this way about all rivalries, I just don't see a romantc relationship happening) but if he were older I could so totally see him with Kakashi. And for drool-worthy's sake, Sasuke with Neji or Gaara is always fun to look at. ^^

I like SasuSaku mainly because there isn't really any other pairing for Sasuke other than... probably Hinata (which we all know if never going to happen.) Sasuke ain't friends with anyone else except Naruto and Sakura, really. Why Sakura? Because she's annoying, peppy, and let's face it. She's crazy for Sasuke.
Sasuke is not annoying, is most of the time mellow and thinking about all this angst and killing his brother, and let's face it. He's NOT crazy for Sasuke.

As for SasuNaru....... No one else looks good with Sasuke other than Kakashi, and I don't fancy a pedophile relationship when it involves Sasuke. lol

I don't know. ::shrugs:: I mostly watch Naruto to enjoy the characters, not their fighting abilities(though I love to watch the battles and enjoy their moves, I just judge their power by what Kishimoto says)... and I'm gonna assume that because Sasori is an Akatsuki member, and Sasuke has only just gained the CSL2, Sasori would win. But then again, Sasuke is smart - but I don't know if he has knowledge of a puppet's weakness... he'd probably be freaked out. ::shrugs:: I don't really know. lol.

Are we still on Sasuke vs. Sasori? I agree that Sasori would win. I would add that Sasori was a strong member of the Akatsuki. He would be somewhat on par with Itachi. We know that there was a big gap between Sasuke and Itachi. Even with the cursed seal, there would still be a big gap between Sasuke and his brother or Sasori. Sasori was able to wipe out the entire city/village with his puppets. Sasori was very strong. (Too bad Kishi killed him so soon.)

Sasuke's life time determination is to kill his brother. He probably will end up killing his brother toward the end of the series.

If he has to kill someone very close to him to obtain the Mangekyu Sharingan, I have the theory that he might become a close friend of Kabuto and kill him (although that's not very Sasuke.) He may also be the one who kills Orochimaru to save himself or an important friend.

Hmmm... I don't know... its rather hard for me to actually see Sasuke going all the way and just doing it, even if he says he will... though if it happened in a shocking, unexpected way like maybe Sakura getting in the way of him fighting Naruto... (though that's rather expected, actually lol) but you know, Kishimoto could spice it up... But personally, I don't want to see him kill anyone... >.> unless its not in cold blood... then I'll be able to accept it more..

But I could see him killing Orochimaru for sure. I actually think (hope) that he'll turn against Orochimaru and help bring him down. ^^

I certainly think Sasuke is capable of falling in love.

Though he may not be able to trust fully, and I can see that being his biggest issue for the remaining years of his life... but he will be able to love... and love just as strongly, he just wont know quite what to do with himself. I see Sasuke as awkward in love, unable to get what he means across, and always leaving mixed signals. (well, who doesn't, huh? lol) He'll just be a bit more extreme... and sometimes he'll try to run away from it... before it disappears on him... ::huggles Sasuke::

Yes, I think Sasuse is capable of love. In fact, his love is so intense that it has turned into hatred. Sasuke certainly has strong feeling for Naruto, Sakura, Kakashi, and, yes, Itachi in a twisted way. Right now, his heart is filled with revenge and desire of power. When things are more settled, there will be room for romantic love. Hopefully, we will see that during the lifetime of the series.

When Sasuke was being extremely stubborn and all that during the Konoha 5 arc, and he was decided to leave Konoha... And during the fight with Naruto, too.
I'm still a little mad at Sasuke at times, but he's still one of my favorite characters. ^^

That's the topic. ^^ Just read back a couple pages to see what you missed...

I've always liked him. ^^ I feel that everything he's done has made sense with the circumstances surrounding him.

I realize he had a choice between happiness and revenge, and he chose revenge, and he's abandoned his home and the people who care about him...

but he's still just a 12 year old who has no sense of self and trust issues. And for some reason, I feel almost in awe of him... because he honestly meant it when he said he'd plunge through any darkness.. his determination is admirable... and though many say he's selfish, I'd say they were right, but then I'm thinking of it in a different way. How can a selfish person give up their happiness; for a future that may hold nothing but revenge and darkness? It's not like blood and torture make Sasuke happy... its just he's willing to give his life to gain his worth (by beating Itachi) and avenge his clan...

I mean, this is the belief that has kept him going for six or seven years... it makes sense that he didn't just drop it (and with all of Orochimaru's efforts and Naruto's quick growth) and took the sound invitation. He's put his whole being into this... and its not like he had anyone to take care of him when he was younger...

And we're not talking about a little boy who just came home and found everyone dead. We're talking about a little boy who came home and found everyone dead, had a life-shattering encounter with his beloved (and envied) older brother, who then used a psychological damaging jutsu on the kid, to let him watch, helplessly, as said brother murders their entire clan, their people. Their parents...

He lost his light then, if you watch the flash backs during the Valley of the End, you can see the light fade in his eyes as he's lying on the floor, just after the attack to his mind. Really, I'm not kidding. >< Tears me up everytime.

So, despite being incredibly stubborn and falling into darkness, I've always loved Sasuke.. because I think what he's doing isn't that unreasonable for a broken kid (who was cursed, mind you, unwillingly). I mean, should I even go into the subliminal messages sent through the curse seal?

Sasuke's strong, but he's not invincible. And when you're dealing with people like Itachi and Orochimaru... it's just not in his favor.

Yah, sorry for the rant. ^^; Ah hah...

I always like Sasuke. I like his intensity, his determination, and complex emotion. I even like his superior & inferior complex, and his intelligence & foolishness. Yes, I think he’s cute. Also, I like the relationship and the interaction Sasuke has with different characters.

There are occassions that I became frustrated with Sasuke. Say like when he lost his coolness when he encountered Itachi. I feel like Sasuke should know better that he was not ready fight Itachi. I was frustrated that he would take the Sound’s invitation so easily and rejected Naruto, Sakura or Kakashi friendship so readily. Like Taijiya said, the circumstances justifies Sasuke’s foolish acts.

We all know Sasuke doesn't have many close relationships. But, if he had another one, who do you think it would be(or would have been)? Elaborate on this and be creative. ^^

I'm going to go ahead and answer. =D

Shino. I'm thinking Shino. I feel this way because of the scene of Shino coming to help Sasuke against the Sand siblings and fighting Kankuro. Sasuke and Shino traded some arrogant comments (Shino said he'd be there in no time to back Sasuke up and Sasuke said he'd be finished in ten minutes, so Shino wouldn't have too) and then they parted.

Then, when the fight was over between Kankuro and Shino, Shino thinks of Sasuke and says he's sorry that he wont be able to back him up. And around the same time, Sasuke's thinking about how he might need more than ten minutes and he'll be waiting on Shino's back up. (I haven't watched it recently, so this is from memory, lol) and since I <3 both Sasuke and Shino, this moment in Naruto is one of my personal favorites. Lol.

Oh! I also liked when Sasuke says something about Shino taking it easy or needing more time or something (you can tell I can't remember the exact words lol) and Shino goes, well you don't have to worry and Sasuke gets this expression like, whatever, I wasn't worried. (I think he was, personally, and I think Shino said that on purpose lol)

And then! (Yeah, there's more) I know Shino makes a comment about how he regrets that he couldn't join the mission to retrieve Sasuke and that perhaps things would have turned out differently. I know it made it seem like he was just mad that he was left behind, but yah know, I think there's this little bond there. LOL.

Anyway, Shino and Sasuke are similar to me, so I think they could have been friends. ^^ I personally would have really liked that. Lol.

Oh! Whoever you choose, you don't have to have proof from the show... lol, so you can pick ANYONE. ^^

Well, I doubt he would return to Konoha as well. And it's true that Itachi is extremely powerful. But if you've seen Naruto in the manga lately, and you think that Sasuke is about equal to that power; i think he might have a slight chance. And even if he actually decides that killing Itachi is of no point, he actually might go find some girl to revive his clan. Who's probably the only girl he communicates with? Sakura. And where is she? In Konoha.

It's quite hard to picture what he'd do exactly. He'd be a loose trigger, he may never get over the massacre, or it could possibly free him... or plunge him further into darkness.

Topic: He's an excellent Taijutsu and Ninjutsu user. Although the Sharingan lets him see things, he's still fast, strong, and very able to fight for himself.
He's like a Chuunin-strength ninja without Sharingan and CS.
And not Iruka kind of ninja. I'm talking about a high level Chuunin. But not a Jounin like Kakashi.

i think w/o the sharingan his speed mayb slower.. and i dont think his chakra level is very high is it? so mayb w/o sharingan and not so much chakra, he may tire out faster than his opponent..

well, The sharingan has NOTHING to do with his speed. The sharingan enables it's user to see their opponent, and also with 3 tomes, is able to predict their next move.
Sasuke's chakra level is VERY high. He's capable of getting the Mangekyou Sharingan, and even without the cursed seal, he's strong. Without the CS, he could probably become a high leveled Jounin when he's Kakashi age.

I don't think we'll be seeing Sasuke in the anime any time soon. Perhaps we'll see him in flashbacks and in dreams, but not in actuality.... Nope. Fillers won't end for a while now.

And no, Sasuke wouldn't have died. Because if you remember correctly, Haku intentionally didn't want to kill Sasuke, and put him in a near-death state. Naruto was the one who went out of control and nearly killed Haku.

Because I think Kishi plans on making this series LONG.

I think Sasuke will still be pretty strong even without the Sharingan and C2. At the chunnin exam, when Sasuke copied Lee’s partial Lotus and defeated the Sound guy, it was said Sasuke revealed more than what Sharingan could have promised, not in these wording exactly. The Sharingan definitely is a great advantage. I agree that he’s a strong taijutsu user, with speed, quick reflex and tactics. I also think he might have develop something similar to M. Sharingan, maybe similar to what Kakashi has.

Hey, you guys, read this analysis of Sasuke from Spectrum (a member at the NarutoFan Forums). I took it without permission, but I thought it was rather in-depth and brought up some interesting points all fans of Sasuke should take into consideration (and those who aren't fans, lmao) And I feel that I agree with it. ^^

..That no one seems to have made much of the fact that, unless I'm way off base here, he's trying to save them right back.

Seriously. He's already saved them at least once that we've directly seen, and possibly more times that we're not aware of. By convincing Orochimaru and Kabuto so thoroughly that he's cut any and all bonds to his former team, he may have very well spared their lives. The only reason Orochimaru has been so casual and unconcerned in his dealings with Team Yamato so far is because he knows their attempt at saving Sasuke is futile. If he had even the slightest inkling otherwise, I really doubt he'd have just left them there unharmed in the chapter before last. And considering the shape our team (and especially our protaganist) is currently in, the fact that Oro let them go may just have kept this manga from ending prematurely.

Of course, this begs the question--is his confidence in Sasuke's apathy toward his former teammates misplaced? On the surface, it doesn't seem like it. In this latest chapter, there wasn't much in his expression to suggest lingering feelings for his old teammates... there's not much emotion there at all, in fact. And back in 301, Sasuke certainly didn't seem to give a rat's ass whether or not Naruto still cared about him. "I only have one brother... the one I want to kill." Not particularly nolstalgic, and he said it convincingly enough that it's easy to see why Oro and Kabuto believe him.

But you know... Orochimaru and Kabuto weren't at the Valley of the End. And feh, you can say all you want about 2.5 years with Oro being enough to fuck up anyone's personality, but you know what? Sasuke sure hasn't changed much so far. His attitude is exactly the same as what we saw back in chapter 238. His style is the same (yes to Uchiha fans, no to Oto headbands, and no eyeshadow or nailpolish, thanks very much), his mannerisms (love how he was just chilling out like the cocky bastard he is when we first saw him in 300), his temper (poor Sai), and even what we've seen so far of his jutsu. (Not that he's ever been partial to genjutsu, but it's interesting that the first technique we saw was Sharingan-related rather than something to do with snakes.) So far, there's just about nothing to suggest that he's let Oro remold his personality as he sees fit. And really, why the hell would he? Sasuke's one of the most stubbornly independent characters in the show, and for all of his flaws and insecurities, I think he's about as likely to let Orochimaru brainwash him as Naruto would be.

That's not to say that he hasn't changed at all--he's obviously not the same person he was back in his Konoha days, and we knew that even before the timeskip. He's much more focused on revenge now, and I do think what Sakura and Naruto are attempting right now is pretty damn near futile. Sasuke's got other plans--he's not ready or willing to come back to Konoha yet. But neither is he about to turn his back on his teammates. To believe that he really no longer cares about Naruto or Sakura, or cares what happens to them, would be a mistake, and it's one that I think Orochimaru has made.

I fully expect Sasuke to behave as dispassionately and mercilessly as he ever has toward Naruto and the rest in the next chapter, and perhaps even fight them (it's likely, even, especially if Oro shows up). But I absolutely believe it won't be because he doesn't care... but rather because he does. Because he knows that unless he's made to see that he's wrong, Naruto will continue trying to save him until he either succeeds, or dies trying. And for all that he's shown to the contrary, I'd bet anything that Sasuke still feels that bond as strongly as Naruto, and he doesn't want to see Naruto get himself killed over him.

That's why I'm personally both anticipating chapter 307, and dreading it. I have a pretty sure feeling that after all of the unflinching determination and optimism Naruto's shown over the past arc, he's in for a major disappointment, perhaps even disillusionment at long last. I really don't think Sasuke's coming back with them just yet. He's not looking to be rescued, he just wants Naruto and Sakura to stay out of it and worry about their own problems for once in their lives. But in a way, he's protecting them just as much as they're trying to protect him.

Makoto - Yes, but you'd have to warp Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura completely (fundamentally, maybe?) like changing some of their past, to make a believable story with that pairing. And usually, only very talented writers can pull that off. Just my opinion. I would think that he would have learned some much more advanced fire jutsu, perhaps some other jutsu with his Chidori. We've already seen him use Chidori Nagashi and also the Chidori through the Kusanagi blade, so i'd like to see what else he can do. Perhaps he can mold the chidori into whatever shape, or even make it shoot in a direction? lol
I'd think he's definately learned some bad ass forbidden jutsu, and snake stuff too. XP
