Has anyone else read this book? Or been forced to read it in school? We just finished reading it in my freshman class. Now we have to watch the movie. (The movie's better than normal class but still as boring as heck.) Joseph is the only character that makes any sense in this book. Author: Emily Bronte

Hmmm....It seems worth the read. I'll head down into town after the christmas holidays and maybe try to pick up a copy in the book sales.

Did you have to do a biography on the author?

@Soy: No. But the author's story, along with her sister's, is pretty interesting. She actually went under a psuedo-name to cover her identity. Her sister's did the same. They became famous 'men'. And then revealed their true identities. It was actually widely accepted by the english community.

I thought it was an ok book. But then again, it was probably more of a title directed towards the ladies.

I bought the book and read the back of the book and first few pages. To be honest, it was a little boring and confusing. It's sitting in my bookshelf, and has yet to be read.

Well its kinda stuffed with old english and you can't understand anything Joseph, one of the housekeepers, says from his: "Eh, wot?"'s to the "Bloody Hell!"'s. lol

I liked it, even though I was forced to read it last year. It was pretty dark, which is probably why I liked it. The main reason for reading it is because the pseudo main character is interesting (can't remember the name).

Well, at least you didn't have to read Jane Eyre by Emily's sister Charlotte Bronte. That book is worse, I was told that out of the two books Wethering (or is it Wuthering?) Heights was longer and more boring and stuff like that.
