do you think that it is right or do you think it is wrong. Most peopel I know have Emulators on their PC, PSP, Dreamcast ect... I think that Pirating games is not just wrong but a very illegal action of injustice and wrong doing. People who pirate should be fined for the actions of what they done.

Theres no difference between burning video games and downloading anime, music and movies. Theyr'e all the same. You're just condeming yourself too.

i think pirating video games is wrong it takes time and effort to make those games and some just rip it off the internet.

1) There is no other way I can get it
2) I'm going to possibly be buying it later, and just want to "try it out" and see what it's like before possibly wasting a fair amount of money. After I've tried it or bought it, I delete it. Like music, I had a few Linkin Park songs downloaded, I eventually got the CD.

Pirating video games is no better than stealing it from someone you know, except now both of you can get it for free.

I'm kind of like Malevolent on this one. If there's an album I really want to listen to, I'll download it as soon as it's leaked to the internet, but when it comes out I'll try to buy the actual thing to even this out.
Besides, game emulation is a wonderful thing, especially when you consider the way it allows people who never got the chance to play it, to play it. And if you have an old copy of a game in the loft and don't have the system any more? Legal emulation to the rescue.

I'm talking about videogames. like if it is the Naruto GBA game becuase the chance of finding it is slim to none i can understand.

But when you play them on PC instead of buying them on your console you make companies lose a lot of money.

I think it's wrong to pirate games... people work hard to make these games, and the companies don't exactly make alot of profit from them.

No. I don't feel bad. I buy most games anyway or get bored with them soon after getting them. I do the same as yall do with music.

pfft no.

I do it yes, but rarely. All the games I play require cdkeys that are multiplayer which require you to buy the game... so pointless to me most of the time.

And if you say that you only "do it sometimes" but you think it's wrong, you're still a hypocrite. Downloading anime? same thing... Hard to find? maybe, but that's really no excuse. There's always a way.

As long as its good quality and can play, who cares.
Tell me, isnt it the same thing, downloading anime thats broadcasted on tv (especially American tv)...really thats illegal at some point. But no one cares, do they?

most people can come up with the money for a game. most people are walking around with expensive cell phones and new cars. I think that if you blow all your money on other stuff then too bad. If you wanted a game badly then you should have saved up your allowance like what I do. You can save up or wait till it becomes cheaper. Something you can also do is GET A JOB!!! you can get a job permit at 14.
People have to pay millions to make the game and it is wasted when people just take it illegally. It makes the hardwork worth nothing and it puts some people out of business.

Well, where I live, many games are 70-80 bucks when they come out for ps2 (well wal-mart has them cheap but they're evil) I could buy a fucking distorter pedal for 10 bucks more. I do not use emulators on my mac because it can't use many of them. If I could copy a ps2 game that my friend has, I would.

Downloading, burning, or buying burned video games.

But when you play them on PC instead of buying them on your console you make companies lose a lot of money.
You must not know much about the market industry then..

Regardless of whether you buy the game or download it for an Emulator the companies responsible for making the game get money no matter what.

And if the game is hard to find.. then it's their fault for not following the order of Supply & Demand.

I have nothing against pirating videogames.. however I don't pirate many games.. I'm more into MMO's and.. well if you download an MMO chances are you'll only be able to play on a private server... which suck.. though sometimes a cool fps game comes out and I'll go download it because I don't want to pay $50 to a company making MILLIONS on a game that I may or may not like..

hmm, I won't say that it's the best thing to do, but then again my freinds burn CD's for me all the time, so who cares if the companies loose a few bucks here and there, it's not like they don't still make billions every year, a few people pirating some games isn't that bad.
