Retrieving Admin Password

anyone knows how to retrieve or change my account to ADMIN in XP Home Ed. ?

..
i accidently change my account into USER and i CANNOT install any programs

..
i've tried changing my account status but it ask for the ADMIN password which i never input them in the first place!!

..

PS. excuse my english and too many words...

Back up all your data, and:
a) get Windows 7, or
b) reinstall XP

Your admin password is currently a default one. Try just hitting enter (with nothing in there) or admin as the password. If that doesn't work, you're up shit creek and have to do what Mal suggested.

Download the "bootable CD image", burn to a disc as you would any iso. If you don't know how, download the free tool ImgBurn, then use the "Write image file to disc" option.

Boot into it, and either the guide or the onscreen instructions will tell you the rest.

Seriously? You'd think Microsoft would do more to prevent/counter a massive privacy issue such as that. Why even bother putting a password on your account if it's that easy to bypass it?
