automatic image resizing?

What about having that kind of plugin which resizes pictures to a smaller size so that they don't destroy the layout, i got a freakin 23' LCD but still some images posted in the naruto manga section are making me having to scroll.

I know that there are vB plugins which can do that, perhaps you will consider.

That isn't a half bad idea... I'd also like to see this implemented to keep signature pics within certain limitations as well.

I like this idea. Not only does it save me having to look at a stretched screen, it saves me the hassle of having to resize my images before hand. Double win!

Why can't people just learn to stick spoiler tags around massive images? I'm all for high-res lovin', just make it a bannable offense to post over a certain resolution without a spoiler tag.

Because I'd rather keep my forum browsing inside the forum? If you're trying to make a point by using the large image, it sort of ruins it if you have to open another tab.

It would ruin it no more for me than having to scroll around horizontally and what not. Which reminds me, I should get one of them fancy tilty-wheel mice and stop complaining.

Jaxon brings up a valid point that has left me conflicted. There are times when I'd like to see a high res version of a picture. Is there any way this add on could be implemented so that it excludes resizing a picture if there are the spoiler tags surrounding it? That would be DREAMY like MCSTEAMY.

It would also be convenient if the spoiler tag button was in the quick reply box and not exclusively the advanced reply page, if changing that is a possibility.

@DA - That wouldn't be a problem. There would be a bar at the top or bottom of the image stating that the image has been resized to a certain percent of the original, if you click on it the image will return to its original size.
